Payments
Messages from adding a card and paying a charge or an invoice, what refuses paid work, a stop for billing, and an archive.
Updated
You pay for Cloud from Settings, Billing, which is the billing of the organization the console is in: each organization pays on its own. Most add a card under Payment method, which Paddle keeps and charges on the 1st of each month for the month before. An organization Cahaves bills by invoice pays each invoice through its link. The messages below come from adding a card, from paying a month, from the organization's standing, from a stop for billing, and from an archive that follows a stop that lasts. For how billing works, see Billing.
Before you pay again
When a message says to check billing or contact support before paying again, do that first. A payment Paddle already holds may be recorded in a minute, and paying again would charge you twice.
Adding or changing a card
Add a card and Change card open a page with Paddle's form. What it says above the form tells you where the card stands.
Paying a month
Pay now on a statement that reads Payment failed opens a Payment page in the console, with Paddle's form beside the amount owed. On an invoice, Pay now opens the invoice's own payment link in a new tab: Paddle's form for US dollars, or SingaPay's page for rupiah.
The organization's standing
Cloud refuses new paid work in an organization while one of these holds for it. A refusal stops nothing that is running; a month left unpaid past its grace period, paid services run with no card past the date in Cloud's email, or a month to date at its limit, stops the organization's paid services, as Stopped for billing below describes. What one organization owes never refuses work in another. Every refusal here but the last carries the API's reason, and its toast adds an Open billing button to the page. The last is the account's, and holds in every organization.
| Sentence | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Add a card in billing to run apps past the free tier. | The organization pays by card and has none on file, so only the free service and the free database can be created, deployed or started in it. Paid services already running in it stop on the date in Cloud's email unless a card is added. | Add a card under Payment method. |
| The charge for November 2026 did not go through. Pay it in billing to run apps past the free tier. | That month's statement reads Payment failed. | Press Pay now on it and pay with the same card or another. Paid work is accepted again once it reads Paid. |
| The invoice for November 2026 is past its due date. Pay it in billing to run apps past the free tier. | That month's statement reads Overdue. | Pay it from Pay now or from the link on the invoice. |
| This would take this month to $27.40 against your $20 limit. Contact support to raise the limit. | What the organization's month comes to, with this change, passes its monthly limit. The amounts are the organization's. | Stop or shrink something you no longer need, or ask support to raise the organization's limit. |
| This account is suspended by Cahaves. Contact support to have the suspension lifted. | Cahaves suspended the account, which stops the services of all its organizations. | Contact support. |
What needs a card explains each case.
Stopped for billing
An organization's paid services stop for billing when a failed charge, a month closed with no card or an overdue invoice is still unpaid on the date Cloud emailed you ("Paid services in Kopi Tiga stop on 13 December 2026 at 12:00 UTC unless the month is paid"), when the organization still runs paid services with no card on file on the date Cloud emailed you ("Add a card to Kopi Tiga by 13 December 2026 at 12:00 UTC, or its paid services stop"), or when what the month has been charged reaches its monthly limit. Cloud emails you when it happens, and the console marks each of those services Stopped for billing. The free application and the free database keep running, your other organizations carry on, and nothing is deleted while the stop lasts. A stop for an unpaid month or for no card that lasts 30 days has the paid services archived, as Archived for billing below describes. Stopped for billing explains when it happens and what brings the services back.
While it lasts, paid work in the organization, and starting one of its stopped services, is refused with one of these. Each carries the API's reason, unpaid for a month, no_card for no card on file and over_limit for the limit, and its toast adds an Open billing button to the page.
| Sentence | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because the charge for November 2026 did not go through. Pay it in billing to start them again. | That month's statement reads Payment failed, and the date in Cloud's email has passed. | Press Pay now on it and pay with the same card or another. The services start again about a minute after it reads Paid. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because November 2026 closed with no card to charge. Add a card in billing, and Cloud charges the month and starts them again. | That month's statement reads Waiting for a card, and the date in Cloud's email has passed. | Add a card under Payment method. Cloud charges the month to it, and the services start again once the charge is sent. If that charge fails, they stop again at once. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because the invoice for November 2026 is past its due date. Pay it in billing to start them again. | That month's invoice reads Overdue, and the date in Cloud's email has passed. | Pay it from Pay now or from the link on the invoice, then open Billing again: Cloud reads the invoice then, and the services start again once it reads Paid. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because there is no card on file. Add a card in billing to start them again. | The organization pays by card, runs paid services and has no card on file, and the date in Cloud's email has passed. | Add a card under Payment method. The services start again about a minute after the card is on file. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because this month has reached its $20 limit. They start again when the next month begins, or sooner if support raises the limit. | What the organization has been charged this month, Used so far, reached its monthly limit. | Wait for the next month, which begins at 00:00 UTC on the 1st, or ask support to raise the limit above the month to date. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are stopped for billing because the charge for November 2026 did not go through and this month has reached its $20 limit. They start again once each is cleared: pay the charge for November 2026 in billing and wait for the next month or ask support to raise the limit. | More than one cause holds. | Clear each one the sentence names. The services start again once all of them are clear. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are starting again. Try again in a minute. | Every cause has cleared, and Cloud is starting the services it stopped. | Try again in a minute. |
| Deployment cancelled because paid services in this organization are stopped for billing. | A deployment of a paid service was still queued or building when the stop came. | Deploy again once the services are back. |
The organization's name, the month and the limit in these sentences are its own. Billing shows, beside the stop, the date Cloud archives the paid services if they stay stopped for an unpaid month or for no card.
Archived for billing
A stop for an unpaid month or for no card that lasts 30 days archives the organization's paid services: Cloud takes a final backup of each one's data, then deletes the service, and keeps the final backups for 30 days for you to download. Cloud emails you at each step, with every date in UTC. Archived for billing explains it.
| What it means | What to do | |
|---|---|---|
| The paid services of Kopi Tiga will be archived on 12 January 2027 at 12:00 UTC | Sent 7 days and 1 day before. The services are still stopped, and nothing is deleted yet. | Clear the stop before that date, as the email says: pay the month, or add a card. Nothing is archived, and the services start again. |
| Paid services in Kopi Tiga are archived for billing | Cloud took a final backup of each service named and deleted it. The email gives the date the backups are kept until. | Download the final backups from Storage, on the Archived tab, before that date. |
| Final backups from Kopi Tiga are deleted on 11 February 2027 at 13:00 UTC | Sent 7 days before the final backups are deleted. | Download anything you want to keep before that date. |
| Final backups from Kopi Tiga are deleted | The date has passed and Cloud deleted them. | Nothing is left to download. |
